Depending on the antenna used, you must set its gain to ensure that EIRP meets the limit set by the local authorities. This is done in the Webfig Quickset menu.
This Device accepts input of 24V DC power adapter, which is provided in the original packaging of this device.
First steps:
Connect your external antenna to the SMA connector. Connect your ISP cable to the device. Connect the device to the power source with the provided adapter.
Open network connections on your PC and search for MikroTik wireless network and connect to it.
Once connected to the wireless network, open https://192.168.88.1 in your web browser to start configuration, user name: admin and there is no password by default.
Update the device to the latest software version by clicking check for updates, the device will reboot after the new version is installed. Repeat the login procedure.
Depending on the antenna used, you must set its gain in the RouterOS software to ensure that EIRP meets the limit set by the local authorities in the Quickset menu. Set up your router password in the bottom field “Password” to the right and repeat it in the field “Confirm Password”, it will be used to login next time. Click on the “Apply Configuration” to save changes.
