We cannot guarantee that no accidents or damage will occur due to the improper use of the device. Please use this product with care and operate at your own risk!
In the case of device failure, please disconnect it from power. The fastest way to do so is by unplugging the power plug from the power outlet.
It is the customer's responsibility to follow local country regulations. All Mikrotik devices must be professionally installed.
This is a Class A product. In a domestic environment, this product might cause radio interference in which case the user might be required to take adequate measures.

Quick start

  • Insert the device into the PCIe slot of the computer;
  • Turn on the computer;
  • Configuration should be made using the WinBox configuration tool https://mt.lv/WinBox;
  • Open the Neighbors tab and connect to the device using the MAC address;
  • The user name: admin, by default there is no password (or, for some models, check user and wireless passwords on the sticker);
  • For a manual update, visit the products page at https://mikrotik.com/products to find your product. The required packages are accessible under the "Support&Downloads" menu;
  • Upload downloaded packages to the WinBox "Files" menu and reboot the device;
  • By upgrading your RouterOS software to the latest version, you can ensure optimal performance, stability, and security updates;
  • Set up your router password.

Powering

The device uses power from PCIe with Maximum power consumption of 29W.

Configuration

By default, the PCIe interface will show up as four virtual Ethernet interfaces. Two interfaces in passthrough mode to the 25G SFP28 cages. The remaining two virtual Ethernet-PCIe interfaces are bridged with the Gigabit Ethernet port for management access.

Reset

To reset this device to factory settings you must turn off your PC.

  • Place the screwdriver or any other metal object into the reset hole, so it makes contact.
  • Turn on the PC and hold the screwdriver until both 25G SFP28 LEDs starts flashing RED and then release it, it will reset the RouterOS configuration. 
  • If you Keep holding for more than 5 seconds up to 20 seconds until the red LEDs turns off, it to make the RouterBOARD look for Netinstall servers.

Operating System Support

The device supports RouterOS software with the version number v7 at or above what is indicated in the RouterOS menu /system resource. Other operating systems have not been tested.

The device is supported in Linux (minimum kernel 5.15.25) and RouterOS (minimum version 7.x), but it will not be recognized in Windows.
