If you have issues with the tag's update, where the tag stays in the OTA mode → try enabling "Reliable write"! When the tag is "stuck" in the OTA/upgrade mode, the Beacon Manager tag list will still show the tag is "alive" but there will be no "gear" icon next to the tag. You are still able to click on the tag in the list (even without the "gear" icon present) and still surf its settings without using the magnet. |
To enter the additional upgrade setting menu, click on the "Upgrade settings" button:
This will allow you to alter the "Reliable write" configuration:
When enabled, the checkbox allows you to make the Bluetooth upgrade process "slower" but more "reliable" (where additional exchange and verification steps are introduced between the phone and the tag).
